Saved prompts

Keep prompts you use often, fill them in automatically, and run them from anywhere.

Your library

Open Use a saved prompt in Quick search, or manage prompts in Settings > Saved prompts. Put prompts in folders, keep favourites at the top, and see the ones you use most first. An empty library offers six starter prompts.

Blanks that fill themselves

Write {{selection}}, {{page}}, {{url}}, {{title}}, {{date}} or {{clipboard}} in a prompt and Sideview fills them in when you use it. Any other blank asks you what to put there.

Run a prompt from anywhere

• Right-click: give a prompt its own item in the right-click menu.
• Keyboard: assign prompts to Run saved prompt 1 to 3 at the extension shortcuts page.
• ;;shortcuts: give a prompt a word, then type ;;word in an AI’s chat box inside Sideview.

Prompts that run as steps

Split a prompt into steps, such as “summarise, then translate, then make a table”. Each step waits for the AI to finish the previous answer.

Share, copy and move prompts

Duplicate a prompt, share one as a link (the prompt travels in the link itself, not through our servers), and export or import your library as a file. Team members also see their team’s shared prompts; see Join a team.
