What Sideview can and can’t see

Open and close the panel

Click the Sideview icon in the toolbar, or press Alt + Shift + S. Press it again to close the panel. The panel stays open as you move between browser tabs.

Start a chat with any AI

Each tab at the top of the panel is one chat, shown by its AI’s logo. Click + for a new chat with the selected AI, or the arrow beside + to choose another. You can keep several chats with the same AI, for example one for a draft and one for questions.

Your own accounts, no API keys

Sideview opens each AI’s own website, so you use the account and plan you already have, free or paid, with its usual limits. Sideview doesn’t run its own AI, doesn’t need an API key and never sees your passwords. See Signing in to AI sites if one asks you to sign in.
