Two ways to compare AI answers
Sideview lets you open several AI chat websites in the same browser side panel. With the free extension, you can keep ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini in separate tabs and switch between their answers. Entering your question in each chat is a manual comparison.
Sideview Pro adds a comparison view for two or three providers. You can send one question to the providers you selected and read their responses side by side. Each provider still uses your own account and its available models and usage limits.
Start with free chat tabs
- Install Sideview and open the panel in desktop Chrome.
- Use the arrow beside + to open a ChatGPT chat, then repeat for Claude or Gemini.
- Sign in to the provider accounts you want to use.
- Paste the same question into each chat and switch tabs to compare the replies.
These chats remain independent. You can also open two conversations with the same provider, for example to try a short prompt in one and a more detailed prompt in the other. Sideview keeps the tabs available as you move between browser pages.
Use the Pro comparison tool
With Pro active, open the panel’s ⋯ menu and choose Compare AIs side by side. Select two or three providers, enter your question and send it. Leave enough panel width to read the responses; a wider panel is usually easier for a three-provider comparison.
The providers generate the answers themselves. Sideview does not score them or choose a winner, and a response can depend on the model and subscription available in each account. If one provider has reached its usage limit or needs a sign-in, resolve that in its own chat before trying again.
Make the comparison useful
Give each provider the same source material and constraints. For a writing task, ask for the same audience, length and tone. For a research question, ask which claims need checking and open the original sources. Agreement between two AI replies is not verification.
Compare what matters to the task: whether the answer follows your instructions, uses the supplied context and makes claims you can check. Keep the replies in separate conversations so follow-up questions do not quietly change the context of the original comparison.
Which accounts and plans do you need?
You use your existing provider accounts. Sideview Pro pays for Sideview’s comparison tool and other page tools; it does not include ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini subscriptions. Provider availability and restrictions still apply. See Free and Pro features for the current Sideview plans.
